SPOILER- Phases/Tactics
First off, let me say that this testing phase there was a lot of convo back and forth as each party discovered different bits. It really helped the testing go smoother.
Phase One
Lightning
As the fight progresses he randomly calls down lightning on people, it deals a LOT of damage and will usually kill someone if it crits. It's seemingly random, and single target (no spread dmg). The longer the fight goes on the more lightning he casts, potentially hitting someone twice instantly.
Aegis & Auras
The boss is surrounded by a golden shield, attempting to pass it kills you. During the fight, he repeatedly casts curses on you which are signified by colored auras on you. If you let the curse count down (1 min timer) it kills you. If you get near someone with the same color curse one of you die. You have to combine the colors correctly (Green cancels red, Red cancels Blue, Blue Cancels Green) and then someone will get a golden sparkly aura which allows them to break the boss's barrier, causing an "Overwhelmed" effect that lets you freely DPS him for 20 secs. Right now, it doesn't matter much because he'll heal to full by time you get to him again.Once the 20 seconds is over he teleports you all to the sides of the room and summons 2 more relatives and recasts the auras, he also places his Aegis back up.
Relatives
When he casts the auras he also summons two of the King's relatives from the coffins to the side of the room (8 coffins total, so 4 rounds of this). First he summons cousins, then brothers, then uncles, then 1 Uncle & 1 Cousin.
Tactics
Auras: The Auras get cast each time he summons relatives, so when you first enter the room and each time the resummons his Aegis. Look for the right people and work it out so that you end up with 1 green, 1 red, 1 blue. You all come together and cancel them, and one of you gets the golden aura which lets you break his shield. This happens each "round"
Cousins: First he summons 2 cousins. They constantly spin in circles dealing heavy damage to everyone near them. They are very susceptible to knockdown, however. You can't knock them down while they are already down, but they can be knocked down once they start to stand. SMs were capable of keeping them down. I imagine that, though risky, an SM could possibly keep both down since their knockback (knockdown on NPCs) is AoE.
Brothers: Next he summons 2 brothers. They are archers. They appear to do an Arc attack, they root people, and have "Bone Arrow" a rather hard hitting AoE DoT. The other team suggested we try walking backwards constantly, and it seemed to work very well. Perhaps some of their attacks require a moment of casting which they can't manage while moving constantly. We found that one tank doing it on the inner ring and another on the outter ring worked well.
Uncles: Next was 2 Uncles. The uncles are casters which, as far as I could tell, do a ranged DD, silence, and an extremely long stun + DoT (nearly 20 seconds). Though the other group said they were often chain silenced (they could have been referring to the long stun), I never noticed a silence...though that could have been because we had a WP with Cleansing Power.
Cousin & Uncle: Same as before, except the Cousin is now extremely difficult to keep down. He stays down about half the time he did in the first round.
Stage 2
Once you finish the Cousin & Uncle, you break his shield once again and you fight him. He seems to be pretty much tank & spank at this point, I didn't notice anything really noteworthy going on, though the dev had disabled the lightning at this point (it made the encounter impossible) so that might have been supposed to play a role in it... what role 8k critting random lightning is supposed to play I am uncertain though
